Men 18-65+
Wellness Checkup
Every 2 years beginning at age 18, and annually beginning at age 50.
This checkup also includes:
Blood Pressure
- Every 2 years if normal (less than 120/80)
- Yearly, or more often, if higher than 120/80 Diabetes Blood Glucose
- If your blood pressure is greater than 135/80 or if you take blood pressure medication Cholesterol Regular testing beginning at age 35, or beginning at 20 if at risk for heart disease
Prostate Screening
- Discuss Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) and Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) with your provider beginning at age 40.
Testicular Exam
- Discuss individual testicular cancer screening with your health care provider.
Skin Exam
- Discuss with your health care provider. Monthly mole self-exams and physician mole exam as part of routine checkup starting at age 20.
Colorectal Screening
- Starting at 50 (earlier if family history). Ask your provider which type of test is best for you and how often.
Lung Cancer Screening
- Annual screening between ages 55-80 if smoked one pack/day for 30+ years, or two packs/day for 15 years, or have quit smoking these amounts less than 15 years ago.
HIV Screening
- Everyone ages 13-64 should be tested at least once for HIV. Discuss your risk with your health care provider for individual screening needs.
Recommended Immunizations
- Tetanus-Diphtheria Pertussis (TD/TDAP) Every ten years
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine Every year
- Herpes Zoster One time, age 60+
- Pneumococcal One time
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Ages 13 – 21, series of three vaccines
- Meningococcal, Hepatits A, Hepatitis B Discuss with your provider
